An Act further to amend the Boilers Act, 1923 in its application to the State of GujaratThe following Act of the Gujarat Legislature having been assented to by the President on the 26th October, 1990, was published in the Gujarat Government Gazette, Part IV, dated 8th November, 1990.It is hereby enacted in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Boilers (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1990.

2. Amendment of Section 22 of 5 of 1923.-In the Boilers Act, 1923 (5 of 1923), in its application to the State of Gujarat (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act"), in Section 22, for the words "one hundred rupees", the words "two hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of Section 23 of 5 of 1923.-In the principal Act, in Section 23,-

(1)for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "one thousand rupees" shall be substituted;
(2)for the words "one hundred rupees", the words "five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

4. Amendment of Section 24 of 5 of 1923.-In the principal Act, in Section 24, for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "one thousand rupees" shall be substituted.

5. Amendment of Section 25 of 5 of 1923.-In the principal Act, in Section 25, in sub-section (1) for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "one thousand rupees" shall be substituted.

6. Amendment of Section 30 of 5 of 1923.-In the principal Act, in Section 30,-

(1)for the words "one hundred rupees", the words "two hundred rupees" shall be substituted;
(2)for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
