Section 6(1) in Assam Adoption of Standard Weights Act, 1955
(1)For the purpose of verifying weights in use in the State, the State Government may provide such working standards as it thinks fit. They shall be made of such materials and according to such specifications and by such agency and shall be verified with the secondary standards and stamped by such persons and in such manner as the State Government may prescribe.
