Section 26(2) in West Bengal Municipal Corporation Act, 2006
(2)The constitution, powers and duties of the Education Committee shall be such as may be prescribed:Provided that the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation (Education Committee) Rules, 2001, made under the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990, (West Ben. Act XXXII of 1990), shall continue to remain in force in the area within the jurisdiction of the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation, and the Education Committee constituted under section 12 of the said Act shall be deemed to have been constituted under this Act.
