Section 9(1) in The Karnataka General Clauses Act, 1899
(1)In Adapted by the Karnataka [any Mysore Act or Karnataka Act] [Adaptations of Laws Order, 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973] made after the commencement of this Act, it shall be sufficient, for the purpose of excluding the first in a series of days or any other period of time, to use the word "from", and, for the purpose of including the last in a series of days or any other period of time, to use the word "to".
