Section 8A(1)(a) in Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982

(a)every person who makes an application for building permit for any building work to a local authority shall be liable to pay the local authority concerned, in addition to the fee for the building permit; and
