(a)Where the Grama Panchayat has accounts with a Treasury or Sub-Treasury or with a Bank other than the Postal Savings Bank, a register to be named "Bank Register of the Grama Panchayat" shall be maintained in Form No. 39. In respect of funds of a Grama Panchayat all deposits made in a Postal Savings Bank, Government Treasury or Sub-Treasury or any other Bank in accounts of the Grama Panchayat and all withdrawals from such account shall invariably be noted in the Cash Book of the Grama Panchayat under the heading "Bank."
