Section 6(2) in The Mizoram Aided College Employees (Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity) Rules, 1990
(2)If an employee who has become eligible for a service gratuity, dies within five years from the date of his/her retirement from service and the sums actually received by him at the time of his/her death-cum-retirement gratuity admissible under sub-rule (1) are less than the amount equal to 12 times of his/her emoluments a residuary gratuity equal to deficiency may be granted to his/her family.
