Section 8 in The Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998
8. Condition to be fulfilled by the applicant.
- The person applying for registration as an Authorized Courier shall disclose to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Customs that he is financially viable and in support there of he shall produce to the said Commissioner of Customs a certificate issued by a scheduled bank or such other proof acceptable to the Commissioner of Customs evidencing possession of assets of a value not less than five lakh rupees.
