22. Dead Rent.
- The holder of a mining lease shall, during the terms of the lease, pay advance, in instalments for every year of the lease, such amount as dead rent at the rates mentioned in the second schedule to these rules, as may be specified in the lease deed by the State Government, and if the terms of lease permit the working of more\than one mineral in the same area, the said dead rent shall be paid separately for each such minerals.Provided that the lessee shall in respect of each mineral, pay the dead rent or the royalty, whichever is higher in amount and not the both.Chapter- IV Auction Lease
