4. Superintendence of Police Force to vest in the State Government.
- The superintendence of the Police Force throughout [the State of Gujarat] [These words were substituted for the words, 'the State,' by Bombay 34 of 1959, section 7.] vests in and exercisable by the State Government and any control, direction or supervision exercisable by any officer over any member of the Police Force shall be exercisable subject to such superintendence.
