Section 6(a) in The Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh Election Rules, 1992
(a)Notice of the time and place of election shall be given by publication under the signature of the Secretary, in one issue of a daily newspaper in the State not less than 60 clear days before the date of election. The notification shall specify inter alia:-(i)the dates for nominations;(ii)the dates for scrutiny;(iii)the dates for withdrawal of the candidature;(iv)the date or dates of polling;(v)the last date on which the voting papers despatched by post should reach the secretary;(vi)The date and place and time for counting of votes; and(vii)the minimum number of seats that should be filled from amongst advocates who on the relevant date will have been on the State roll for at least 10 years.
