Section 4(2) in The Standards Of Weights And Measures Act, 1976
(2)For the purposes of sub-section (1),(a)the international system of units as recommended by the General Conference on Weights and Measures, and(b)such additional units as may be recommended by the International Organisation of Legal Metrology, shall be the units of the metric system.
