Section 2(b) in The Bihar Irrigation Field Channels Act, 1965
(b)'Block' means an area declared as such under Section 3 of the Bihar Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads Act, 1961 (Bihar Act VI of 1962), and includes a Community Development Block constituted under the executive orders of the State Government in areas where that Act has been enforced;
