Section 68(4) in Cuttack Development Authority (Planning and Building Standards) Regulations, 2001
(4)The minimum width of treads without nosing shall be 25 centimetres for an internal staircase of residential buildings. In the case of other buildings the minimum trend shall be 30 centimetres. The tread shall be constructed and maintained in a manner to prevent slipping.
