1. Aggrieved of the inaction on the part of the respondents in considering and deciding the claim the petitioner for compassionate appointment, the present writ petition has been filed. The application for compassionate appointment is pending consideration before the respondents No.2&3 since long.

2. Facts of the case is that the father of the petitioner working on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector died in harness on 10.09.2020 on account of Corona Virus. The petitioner thereafter had moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment which till date is pending consideration before the authorities concerned.

3. Given the entire facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No.2&3 to take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner so far as grant of compassionate appointment is concerned in accordance with rules, -2- regulations and the guidelines framed by the State Govt. in this regard preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
