Section 4(5) in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Act, 2003
(5)On the establishment of the University under sub-section (2), the land and other movable and immovable properties acquired, created, arranged or built by the University for the purpose of the University except the properties of Hydrocarbons Education And Research Society, shall stand transferred to, and vest in, the University.
