Section 17 in Jammu and Kashmir Juvenile Justice Act, 1997
17. Uncontrollable juvenile.
- Where a parent or guardian of a juvenile complains to the Board that he is not able to exercise proper care and control over the juvenile and the Board is satisfied on inquiry that proceedings under this Act should be initiated regarding the juvenile, it may send the juvenile to an observation home or place of safety and make such further inquiry as it may deem fit and the provisions of section 15 and 16 shall, so far as may be, apply to such proceedings.
