(4)An offence under this section shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees or with both :Provided that where a person is quality of misappropriation, fraud, breach, of trust, cheating or any other act involving moral turpitude, resulting in a loss to the Co-operative Society, he shall be punishable under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act 45 of 1860)
