Section 183(5) in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
(5)In the event of contravention of sub-section (3), the Council-(a)shall direct that the construction of the building be stopped;(b)may, by written notice, require such building or portion thereof to be altered or demolished in accordance with the provisions of such notice within such reasonable time as may be specified therein.
