Matter is heard through Video Conferencing. Case is listed today for further orders on order dated 05.05.2020.
Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that looking to the persisting effect of COVID-19 pandemic situation, sympathetic consideration may be made for the appellant who is more than 55 years of age and has been dismissed from the service, therefore, he has to make both the ends meet. He already suffered more than 5 months of incarceration. He sought extension of period of temporary suspension of sentence.
Learned Special Public Prosecutor opposed the prayer made by the appellant.
Considering the submissions and fact situation, interim relief granted earlier vide order dated 05.05.2020 shall continue till 15.09.2020 on the same terms and conditions.
Office is directed to provide hard copy of record before this court for perusal on next date of hearing so that evidence can also be seen by this court.
