20A. [ Penalties relating to registration. [Inserted by Act 14 of 2014 w.e.f.1.04.2014.]
(1)A dealer who, without reasonable cause, fails to apply for registration within the time prescribed in section 4 shall be liable to a penalty of two thousand rupees in addition to the interest chargeable on the tax payable at the rate provided under section 5-C.(2)The power to levy the penalties shall be vested in the registering authority as prescribed.
