37. Exercise by District Magistrate of power under the Prisons Act.
(1)The orders passed under sub-section (2) of Section 11 of the Act should, except in emergent case in which immediate action is, in the opinion of such Magistrate necessary, be so expressed that the Superintendent may have time to refer (if he thinks necessary) to the Inspector-General before taking action thereon.(2)All orders issued by the District Magistrate shall, if expressed in terms requiring immediate compliance, be forthwith obeyed and a report made, as prescribed in the said sub-section, to the Inspector-General.
