ORDER
1. The issues raised in the RTI applications out of which the complaint and the second appeal arose are identical. Therefore, it is necessary that a common order may be passed in both the matters.
1.1. The Complainant/Appellant (hereinafter referred to as Complainant) filed an RTI application dated 30.03.2022 seeking information on the following points:
Page 1 of 3 "Under Section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act, Appellant is seeking the following information relating to Bank Error Codes relating to Social Security Pension Schemes by the Government. Appellant observed that bank error codes are generated when a person's pension payment does not credit successfully in their bank account because of some issue/mismatch in the details. i. The details of the Account No. of Labour Welfare Fund to which my money has been credited.
ii. The Authority under which the amount of Rs. 3/- has been deducted from his salary. iii. The registered address, aims, objects & rules of the Labour Welfare Fund. iv. The name, official telephone numbers, and official Email address of the officials responsible for management of Labour Welfare Fund as on date. v. Whether the information related to Labour Welfare Fund is available on banks website? If yes, kindly provide the weblink."
2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 01.04.2022 and the same is reproduced as under:-
"Dear Sir, with reference to your application we inform you that there is no attachment, please re-submit."
3. Aggrieved with the reply of CPIO, the Appellant approached the Commission with the instant Complaint dated 02.04.2022.
4. On behalf of the respondent, Shri Aravind Kumar, Deputy General Manager and CPIO, attended the hearing through video conference.
5. The respondent while defending their case inter alia submitted that the complainant and their employee Late Shri Virendra Yadav had demised. They also produced the copy of death certificate deposited in their records.
6. The Commission after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the case, hearing the respondent and perusal of records, observes that the respondent replied vide letter dated 01.04.2022. Further, the respondent brought into notice of the Commission that the Page 2 of 3 Complainant had expired and produced a copy of his death certificate during the hearing. That being so, the Commission deems it fit that the matters may be closed. Accordingly, the complaint as well as the second appeal are closed.
Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
