16. Board empowered to refuse issue of certificate.
(1)The Board of Examiners shall have power to refuse the issue of certificate of competency as a Boiler Attendant to any candidate who in the opinion of the majority of the members, appears too old or physically unfit through deformity, constitutional weakness, defective eyesight, deafness or loss of limb perform efficiently the duties of a Boiler Attendant.Any candidate, who has been refused such certificate may be asked to produce a certificate of fitness from a Registered Medical Practitioner. If, however, the candidate produces a certificate of physical fitness, the Board shall issue a certificate.
