Section 69 in The Calcutta Hackney-Carriage Act, 1919
69. Provisions regarding owners and drivers of hackney-carriages applicable to owners and bearers of palanquins. -
All the provisions of this Act as to offences committed by or against the owners and drivers of hackney-carriages and the penalties in respect of the same and recovery thereof, and all the remedies given to or against hires, owners or drivers of hackney-carriages, except the provisions contained in section 53, shall be applicable, so far as the same may reasonably be applied, to the owners and bearers of palanquins.
