Section 9(2) in The High Denomination Bank Notes (Demonetisation) Act, 1978
(2)Subject to tb- section (1), the 17th day of January 1978 shall for the purposes of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (2 of 1881), be deemed to be a public holiday notified under that Act.
