14. Exercising or Powers of Civil Courts.
- The Competent Authority/the Appellate Authority/the Scrutiny and Review Committee at the State level/Scrutiny Committees at the District/level Government shall exercise the powers of Civil Courts under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 in summoning the witnesses as defined in Section 9 of the Act in addition to-(a)Receiving evidence on affidavit;(b)Summoning and examining any person or documents;(c)Making local enquiry and inspections.
