Section 8(d) in The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Service Rules, 1987
(d)A person appointed or promoted temporarily under sub-rule (a) or (b) shall be paid the minimum of the time scale of pay or his substantive pay, as the case may be, applicable to the post whichever is higher.
