The second language taught in all recognized schools must be one of the South Indian languages or Urdu or Hindi.In schools where the second language taught is one of the South Indian languages, Hindi may also be taught as an additional languages and the expenditure incurred by management on the provision of facilities for the study of Hindi shall be taken into account for teaching grant, provided that the number of the children in the school offering Hindi as an additional language is not less than fifteen.
