Section 73CB(2) in The Maharashtra Co-Operative Societies Act, 1960
(2)The State Co-operative Election Authority shall consist of a State Co-operative Election Commissioner, who has held the post not below the rank of Secretary to the State Government. The State Co-operative Election Commissioner shall be appointed by the Governor. The State Co-operative Election Commissioner shall hold the office for a period of three years and he may be re-appointed for a further period of two years. The office of the State Co-operative Election Authority shall be at such place as may be notified by the State Government:Provided that, a person appointed as the State Co-operative Election Commissioner shall retire from the office on completion of the age of sixty-five years.
