Section 119 in The Air Force Rules, 1969

119. Mode of questioning witness .-(1) Every question shall be put to witness orally by the presiding officer, the judge-advocate, the prosecutor or the accused person and the witness will forthwith reply, unless an objection is made by the Court, judge-advocate, prosecutor, or accused, in which case he shall not reply until the objection is disposed of. The witness shall address his reply to the Court.

(2)The evidence of a witness as taken down shall be read to him after he has given all his evidence and before the leaves the Court, and shall, if necessary, be corrected.
(3)If the witness denies the correctness of any part of the evidence when the same is read over to him, the Court may instead of correcting the evidence, record the objection made to it by the witness.
(4)If the evidence is not given in English and the witness does not understand that language the evidence as recorded shall be interpreted to him in the language in which it was given or in a language which he understands.
