Section 89 in The Petroleum And Natural Gas (Safety In Offshore Operations) Rules, 2008
89. Ergonomic design .-(1) Work areas and work equipment shall be designed and placed in such way that the employees are not subjected to adverse physical or mental strain as a result of manual handling, work position, repetitive movements, work intensity, etc., that may cause injury or illness.
(2)Work places and work equipment shall also be designed and placed in such a way that the probability of mistakes that may be significant to safety, shall not occur.(3)Work places shall provide for the possibility of individual work positions.
