Section 9(1) in The M.P. Cotton Ginning and Pressing Factories Rules, 1962
(1)The term of office of the members of the rate-fixing committee shall be ordinarily three years from the date of their election or selection, as the case may be, but the State Government may extend their term beyond such period. Casual vacancies amongst the elected or selected members of the Committee caused by the death or resignation of a member or by his becoming ineligible for office shall be filled in the same manner in which the original election or selection was held. A member elected or selected to fill a casual vacancy shall hold office during the remaining term of the other members.
