Section 21(1) in The Gujarat Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2013
(1)The Regional Fire Officer or the Chief Fire Officer or the nominated officer, as the case may be, may scrutinise the compliances, with regard to the requirement of section 18, made by the owners or the occupiers, as the case may be, either independently or jointly, may after making necessary inquiry, if any, issue fire safety certificate.
