Section 55(4) in The Kerala Panchayat Buildings Rules, 2011
(4)In the case of buildings [exceeding 1000 sq. metres plinth area or exceeding 15 metres height] [Substituted 'exceeding three storeys above ground level' by Notification No. G.O.(P) No. 81/2017/LSGD, dated 31.10.2017 (w.e.f. 14.2.2011).], a certificate of approval from the Director of Fire Force or an officer authorised by him shall be obtained before the issue of the building permit [and in case of buildings exceeding 300 sq. metres and below 1000 sq. metres, as also in case of buildings not exceeding 15 metres height a self-declaration in the form in Appendix O appended to these rules from the applicant along with a certificate from the architect/engineer who had prepared the plan to the effect that the construction of the building shall conform to the fire and safety norms specified under sub-rule (5) below shall be submitted.] [Inserted by Notification No. G.O.(P) No. 81/2017/LSGD, dated 31.10.2017 (w.e.f. 14.2.2011).]
