(2)Immediately upon the appearance of any case of infectious disease or any disease which is likely to assume an epidemic form, the Medical Officer shall report the fact to the Superintendent, (with a copy to the civil surgeon) for the information of the Inspector-General, together with any recommendations which he may think to make in view to prevent the spread of the disease and otherwise deal with it.
