Section 8(2) in Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Act, 1976
(2)An Associate Member may be removed from the office by the Board, if in the opinion of the Board, he has been guilty of misconduct or neglect or has so abused his position as to render his continuance as an Associate Member detrimental to the interest of the Board or of the general public :Provided that no member or Associate Member shall be so removed under sub-section (1) or sub-section (2), as the case may be, unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause against his removal.
