Andhra Pradesh High Court - Amravati
I.V.Narsimha Rao vs The State Of Andhra Pradesh, on 12 October, 2020
Author: M. Venkata Ramana
Bench: M. Venkata Ramana
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. VENKATA RAMANA
WRIT PETITION No.15788 OF 2020
ORDER:
Heard Sri G.Uday Prakash Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services - II representing the respondent.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the respondent with reference to the punishment imposed and the same was not considered. Now, his request is to direct the respondent to dispose of his appeal early, since it was presented in the year 2015, after affording an opportunity of hearing.
3. As rightly pointed out by learned Government Pleader for Services
- II, no representation making such request was presented to the respondent in the recent past and though the learned counsel for the petitioner states that several representations were sent to the respondent for early disposal of the appeal, this fact is neither stated in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition nor a copy of any of such representations is enclosed.
4. Nonetheless, having regard to the nature of the request made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the order dated 16.06.2015 passed in the proceedings No.11816/CPR&RD/B1/2009, by the Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, within eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner and that the petitioner is directed to present a representation MVR,J W.P.No.15788 of 2020 2 for this purpose, within two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. Pending petitions if any, stand closed.
