1. The above Petitions under Section 29-A(4) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, have been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

2. The disputes have arisen between the parties under the Lease Deed dated 04.09.2018. The parties had mutually appointed the learned Sole Arbitrator in July, 2021. The mandate of the learned Arbitrator has last expired on 29.02.2024. The matter is at the stage of respondent's evidence. A request is made for extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator by six months from the date of its expiry i.e. 29.02.2024.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection to the extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator.
4. In view of the submissions made, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a further period of six months from 29.02.2024 i.e. the date when it expired.
5. Both the petitions are allowed and are accordingly disposed of along with the pending applications.
