Prayer made in the present petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.136 dated 6.9.2013, registered under Section 22 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station Kotkapura Sadar, District Faridkot.

As per the prosecution, pursuant to secret information received by ASI Baldev Singh of Police Station Kotkapura Sadar, the petitioner was apprehended and 500 tablets of Maidotil and 130 capsules of Parvon Spas were recovered. When read in conjunction with the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory, the total weight of the the Maidotil tablets is 40.50 grams, whereas that of Parvon Spas is 81.64 grams. The petitioner is in custody since 07.9.2013 and is not shown to be involved in any other case as is clear from the custody certificate produced by the State counsel. The trial of the case is likely to take a long time. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars any further.

Resultantly, the petition is accepted. Bail to the sastisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot.
