(4)Any police officer may take such steps, and use such force, as may be reasonably necessary for preventing any contravention of the provisions of sub-section (1), and may seize may apparatus used for such contravention.Explanation. - In this section, the expression "polling officer" means the polling officer of a polling station or if there is a presiding officer at the polling station, such presiding officer.
