G.S.R. 1283, dated 3rd July, 1968. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 296 read with sub-section (2) of section 458 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958), and in supersession of the Indian Merchant Shipping (Direction Finders) Rules, 1956, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-
