(1)This Act may be called "The Uttar Pradesh Industrial Disputes Act, 1947".(2)It extends to the whole of [Uttar Pradesh] [Substituted by the A.O. 1950 for 'the United Provinces'.].(3)It shall come into force on such date [as the] [The Act came into force on February 1, 1948.] [State Government] [Substituted by the A.O. 1950.] may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
