Section 218 in The Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
218. Commissioner may call for further particulars. - If any notice under section 217 does not supply all the information which the Commissioner deems necessary to enable him to deal satisfactorily with the case or if any such notice given for any of, or all, the purposes mentioned in clause (a), (b) or (c) of the said section does not contain any proposal or intention to make or lay out a private street, he may, at any time within thirty days after receipt of the said notice, by written notice require the person who gave the said notice -
(a)to furnish the required information together with all or any of the documents specified in the rules, or(b)to revise any or all the schemes submitted under the said clause (a), (b) or (c) so as to provide for the making or laying out of a private street or private streets of such width or widths as he may specify in addition to or in substitution of any means of access proposed to be provided in such scheme or schemes and to furnish such further information and documents relating to the revised scheme or schemes as he may specify.
