In my Ramanathapuram parliamentary constituency, a new sea bridge is being constructed at Pamban. I request that this bridge should be constructed in an alternative route without affecting the inhabitants living in that area. More than 400 households are being affected because of the construction of this new sea bridge at Pamban and those who are living in that area are in utmost fear. I request that the construction work of the proposed sea bridge should be carried out in an alternative route so as to mitigate fears about displacement from the minds of people living in that area.
Due to the north-east monsoon, heavy rains have affected several districts of Tamil Nadu, and the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been taking immediate and needed measures to control the situation. The Central team also visited the rain affected districts. I request the Union Government to release adequate funds, as demanded by Tamil Nadu government.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, the frequency of domestic flight services had been reduced in Tamil Nadu earlier. I request the frequency of domestic flights to be increased to their maximum, particularly between Madurai and Chennai.
Fishermen live in large numbers in my parliamentary constituency. I request that their lives should be protected at any cost. Thank you.
