Section 228(1) in Rules under the United Provinces Excise Act, 1910
(1)To allow for verification, memos for preparation of pay bills should be submitted by Excise Inspectors on behalf of themselves, their clerks (if any), and their constables to the Assistant Excise Commissioner not later than the 15th of the month to which they relate.
