Section 408(a) in The Madurai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
(a)bur or cause to be buried any corpse or part thereof in a gray whether dug or constructed of masonry or otherwise in sue manner that the surface of the coffin or the surface of the bod; where no coffin is used, is at a less depth than 1.5 metres from the surface of the ground; or
