29. Detention of mentally ill person pending his removal to psychiatric hospital or psychiatric nursing home
.Whenever any reception order is made by a Magistrate under section 22, section 24 or section 25, he may, for reasons to be recorded in writing, direct that the mentally ill person in respect of whom the order is made may be detained for such period not exceeding thirty days in such place as he may deem appropriate, pending the removal of such person to a psychiatric hospital or psychiatric nursing home.D.
