Section 110B(1) in The Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888
(1)Notwithstanding anything in section 45 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, when any debenture issued under this Act or any previous Act relating to the municipal government of the city [or under the City of Bombay Improvement Act, 1898, or the City of Bombay Improvement Trust Transfer Act, 1925], is payable to two or more persons jointly and either or any of them dies, the debenture shall be payable to the survivor or survivors of those persons.
