Section 283(1) in Rules under the United Provinces Excise Act, 1910
(1)All articles recovered in searches, with the exception of the article mentioned in clause (2) infra should be deposited for safe custody in the nearest police station in accordance with the provisions of Section 58 of the Excise Act.
